Daniel Rises Under Darius
King Darius, the ruler of a vast empire, noticed that Daniel was exceptionally wise, honest, and capable. Because of these qualities, the king decided to make Daniel one of the highest officials in the land, placing him in a position of great authority. However, this made the other rulers and administrators jealous. They did not like the idea of Daniel having so much power, so they began to plot against him, looking for a way to bring him down.
Bible Verse: “Now Daniel so distinguished himself… that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” (Daniel 6:3)
