Thrown Into the Lion’s Den

Daniel, a faithful servant of God, was thrown into a den filled with hungry lions as punishment for praying to God instead of obeying the king’s decree. To ensure that he could not escape, a large stone was rolled over the entrance of the den, sealing him inside. King Darius, who had been tricked into issuing the decree, was deeply troubled about Daniel’s fate. He spent the entire night fasting, unable to eat or sleep, as he worried about whether Daniel would survive the night among the lions.

Bible Verse: “A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den.” (Daniel 6:17)
