Chapter 7: The Alpha’s Redemption

The kiss shattered me.

Five years of anger, five years of pain—gone in an instant as our lips met. The mate bond roared back to life like a wildfire, burning away every lie that had ever stood between us.

Leo pulled back first, his breathing ragged. “I can feel her again—Lena. Your wolf.”

My hands trembled against his chest. “This doesn’t change what you did.”

“No,” he agreed, his voice rough. “But let me spend the rest of my life making it right.”

A war horn sounded in the distance.

Shadow Fang was here.

Battle for the Pack

Chaos erupted as enemy wolves poured over the walls. I barely had time to strap on my armor before the first wave hit.

“Stay with Lily!” I ordered the healer as I raced outside—straight into carnage.

Leo fought like a demon at the front lines, his black wolf form cutting through enemies with terrifying precision. But even he couldn’t be everywhere at once.

I saw the ambush too late.

Three rogues lunged for his exposed flank—

“LEO!”

My wolf burst free mid-sprint, my silver fur flashing as I tore out the first rogue’s throat. The second went down under my claws. The third—

Elena.

Her white wolf snarled, poison dripping from her fangs. “You ruined everything!”

We collided in a whirlwind of teeth and fury.

A Daughter’s Power

The battle raged around us when a new sound cut through the noise—

An Alpha’s howl.

But it wasn’t Leo.

Every head turned toward the packhouse, where a tiny figure stood on the porch.

Lily.

Her eyes glowed gold, her small hands clenched into fists as an Alpha aura pulsed from her in waves.

The fighting stopped.

Even the enemy wolves dropped their heads in submission.

Leo shifted back to human form, his face awestruck. “She’s an Alpha-born.”

Elena snarled, lunging for Lily—

Leo moved faster.

His jaws closed around Elena’s neck.

One snap.

It was over.

The True Luna Returns

At dawn, the surviving Shadow Fang wolves knelt in surrender.

Leo stood before them, bloodied but unbowed, Lily cradled in one arm.

“The war is over,” he declared. Then he turned to me. “But my greatest battle was winning back the heart I was too blind to see.”

The pack held its breath as he knelt before me—Alpha to Luna.

“Selene Grace, my true mate, my one and only Luna—will you forgive this unworthy wolf?”

Tears streamed down my face as Lena pushed forward, answering before I could.

Our wolves touched noses—

And the bond clicked back into place, whole and perfect.

“Welcome home, Luna,” the pack chorused.

As Leo pulled me into his arms, Lily giggling between us, I finally understood:

Some love stories don’t end.

They just begin again.
