The Drought Begins

The sky, once a brilliant shade of blue, slowly fades into a dull, lifeless gray. Day after day, the sun beats down mercilessly, with no clouds to offer shade and no rain to bring relief. The earth, cracked and dry, thirsts for water, but none comes. Rivers that once flowed freely now shrink into dusty beds, and wells that once quenched the thirst of entire villages run empty.
The livestock, weak and frail, collapse from dehydration, their ribs showing through their thinning skin. Farmers stare hopelessly at their fields, which should be full of golden crops but are now nothing more than barren wastelands. Merchants, once bustling with trade, find themselves with nothing left to sell. The people gather in hushed groups, their voices filled with fear and desperation, whispering of the old prophecy—the one spoken by Elijah. Could it really be coming true?

Bible Verse:
“So there was neither dew nor rain for three and a half years.” – Luke 4:25
