Raising the Widow’s Son

One day, the son of a poor widow suddenly falls seriously ill. His condition worsens quickly, and before long, he stops breathing and dies. His mother is devastated and filled with sorrow. In her grief, she turns to the prophet Elijah and questions why this has happened, wondering if she is being punished in some way.
Elijah, moved by her pain, takes the lifeless child in his arms and carries him to the upper room where he is staying. There, he lays the boy on the bed and begins to pray with all his heart, asking God to restore the child’s life. Then, he stretches himself over the boy three times, calling out to the Lord each time.
Suddenly, a miracle occurs! The child gasps for air and comes back to life. The widow’s sorrow turns into overwhelming joy as she sees her son breathing again, fully restored.
Bible Verse: “The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived.” – 1 Kings 17:22
