Cain and Abel

Cain and Abel were brothers who grew up learning about God and how to live according to His teachings. As they got older, they took on different professions. Cain became a farmer, working the land to grow crops, while Abel became a shepherd, caring for a flock of sheep. One day, both brothers decided to bring an offering to God to show their gratitude and worship.
Cain brought some of the crops he had grown, but Abel chose to offer the best lamb from his flock, selecting one that was perfect and without blemish. God accepted Abel’s offering because it was given with a sincere heart and deep respect. However, God did not accept Cain’s offering. This was not because the crops were bad, but because Cain’s heart was not in the right place when he gave them. He didn’t offer his gift with the same level of devotion and love as his brother.
Seeing that his offering was not accepted, Cain became very angry and upset. His face reflected his frustration and disappointment, and he couldn’t hide his feelings of sadness and jealousy.

Bible Verse: “The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering, He did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.” — Genesis 4:4-5
