A New Beginning

After the great flood that covered the entire earth, the waters slowly began to go down. Noah and his family, along with all the animals on the ark, waited patiently for dry land to appear. As time passed, Noah wanted to check if the land was becoming habitable again, so he released a dove. The first time, the dove returned because it found no place to rest. After several days, he sent it out again, and this time, it came back with a fresh olive leaf in its beak. This was a sign that trees were beginning to grow again and that the land was drying up. Eventually, the ark came to a stop on top of a mountain, signaling that the world was ready for a new beginning.
Grateful for God’s protection and faithfulness, Noah built an altar and offered a sacrifice to the Lord as a way of giving thanks. This marked the beginning of a renewed world, with a promise of hope and a fresh start for humanity.

Bible Verse: “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.” — Genesis 8:20
