Joseph’s First Dream

Joseph had a dream in which he and his brothers were out in the field tying bundles of grain together. Suddenly, Joseph’s bundle of grain stood up tall and remained upright, while the bundles belonging to his brothers gathered around his and bowed down to it. This dream symbolized Joseph’s future rise to power and how his brothers would one day show him respect and submit to his authority, though they did not understand it at the time.
