Thrown into the Pit

Joseph’s brothers, filled with jealousy and hatred toward him, decided to get rid of him. They seized him, overpowered him, and threw him into a deep pit. This pit was completely dry, with no water in it, meaning Joseph had no way to survive for long and no possible means of escape. He was trapped, alone, and abandoned in the darkness of the pit. His brothers intended for him to suffer, believing this would be the end of him.

Bible Verse: Genesis 37:24
“And they took him and threw him into the pit. Now the pit was empty, with no water in it.”
