A few days later, Bathsheba sent a message to King David in the palace with news that would change everything: “I am pregnant.”
David’s heart raced as he read her words. He had hoped their secret affair would never be discovered, but now there was no way to hide what had happened. The consequences of his actions were unfolding before him, and he knew he had to act quickly.
