The Philistines Seek Revenge
The Philistines sought revenge for what had happened by killing Semadar and her entire family. This act of violence angered Samson deeply, and he made a promise to get back at them for what they had done. In his words, “Since you have acted like this, I won’t stop until I take my revenge on you.” (Judges 15:7). Samson was determined to get justice, and he wasn’t going to back down until he had paid them back for their actions.
