Samson’s Capture

Delilah, a woman who had been trying to betray Samson, finally managed to discover the secret of his strength, which was tied to his long hair. She cut his hair while he was sleeping, and because of that, Samson lost his strength. The Philistines, the enemies of Israel, seized him when he was weak. The Bible says that “the Lord had left him,” meaning that God no longer gave Samson the strength he had before. They brutally gouged out his eyes, blinding him, and then they took him prisoner, chaining him and forcing him to work in captivity. This happened because Samson had broken his vow to God and trusted the wrong person. (Judges 16:21)
