Manoah Meets the Angel
Manoah, eager to learn how to properly raise the special child God had promised, prayed and asked for the angel to return and give him guidance. In response, the angel of the Lord appeared once again and reminded him of the instructions previously given to his wife. The angel emphasized that she must carefully follow all the commands, including avoiding wine, unclean food, and anything forbidden. Furthermore, the angel declared that their son would be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from the moment of his birth, meaning he would live under special vows of holiness, such as never cutting his hair and abstaining from certain foods and drinks. (Judges 13:13-14)
