The Burning of the Fields

When Samson found out that the woman he loved, Semadar, had been given to another man, he became extremely angry. In retaliation, he came up with a clever and destructive plan. He caught a large number of foxes, tied torches to their tails, and set them on fire. Then, he released the foxes into the fields of the Philistines, where they ran wild, burning up the crops, vineyards, and olive groves. This act of revenge caused significant damage to the Philistine’s valuable resources, and it was a way for Samson to get back at them for what they had done. This story is found in Judges 15:4-5 in the Bible.
