The Morning After the Firestorm

The Morning After the Firestorm

After a night of chaos and destruction, the sky finally clears, revealing the aftermath of divine judgment. The once-thriving city of Sodom is no more—its buildings reduced to rubble, its streets now covered in ash. Smoke still rises from the scorched earth, a haunting reminder of what once stood there. The land is barren, lifeless, and silent, as if time itself has come to a halt.

At dawn, Abraham rises and walks to the place where he had previously spoken with the Lord. As he gazes upon the desolate landscape, he sees only devastation stretching as far as the eye can see. The fertile land that once flourished is now a wasteland, a solemn testimony to the consequences of wickedness and the power of divine judgment.

Genesis 19:27-28 – “Early the next morning, Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the Lord. He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.”
