Jacob Marries Rachel

Jacob worked for another seven years to fulfill his agreement with Laban, and at last, he was able to marry Rachel, the woman he truly loved. His deep love for her made the years of labor seem worthwhile.

As it is written in Genesis 29:20 (NIV):
“So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.”

Later, in Genesis 29:27-28 (NIV), it says:
“Finish this daughter’s bridal week; then we will give you the younger one also, in return for another seven years of work.” And Jacob did so. He finished the week with Leah, and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel to be his wife.”
