The Growing Rivalry

Esau grew up to be a skilled hunter, known for his wild and fearless nature. He loved the outdoors and spent his time in the open fields, chasing animals and providing food for his family. Jacob, on the other hand, was a quiet and thoughtful man who preferred to stay at home. He was more peaceful and enjoyed tending to the household rather than roaming the wilderness.

This contrast between the two brothers is described in Genesis 25:27 (NIV):
“The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents.”
