Esau’s Fury

Esau desperately pleaded with his father, Isaac, for another blessing, but Isaac had already given the full birthright blessing to Jacob. With sorrow, Isaac explained that he had made Jacob the master over his brothers and given him all the blessings of prosperity and authority. Esau wept bitterly, asking if there was anything left for him, but Isaac could only offer him a lesser blessing.

This moment is recorded in Genesis 27:38 (NIV):
“Esau said to his father, ‘Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!’ Then Esau wept aloud.”
