The Second Plague – Frogs Overrun Egypt

Moses warned Pharaoh that if he did not let the Israelites go, God would send a terrible plague upon Egypt. However, Pharaoh refused to listen. As a result, an overwhelming number of frogs swarmed the land. They covered the streets, hopped into people’s homes, crawled into their ovens, and even filled their beds. No place was free from the infestation.
Desperate for relief, Pharaoh called for Moses and pleaded with him to ask God to remove the frogs. He even promised that if the frogs were gone, he would allow the Israelites to leave Egypt. Moses prayed, and the frogs died, leaving massive heaps of dead creatures all over the land, creating a horrible stench.
However, once the crisis passed and the frogs were no longer a problem, Pharaoh broke his promise. He hardened his heart and refused to let the Israelites go, setting the stage for even worse plagues to come.
