Journey Through the Wilderness

After escaping from Egypt, the Israelites traveled through the hot and dry wilderness. As the days passed, they became thirsty, but there was no fresh water to drink. Eventually, they arrived at a place called Marah, where they found water. However, when they tried to drink it, they realized it was bitter and undrinkable. Frustrated and worried, they turned to Moses and asked, “What are we supposed to drink?”
Moses prayed to God for help. In response, God showed him a piece of wood and instructed him to throw it into the water. As soon as Moses obeyed, something miraculous happened—the bitter water turned sweet, and the people were able to drink it.
This event was not just about providing water; it was also a test of the Israelites’ faith in God. At Marah, God gave them instructions and used the moment to teach them to trust in His guidance.

Bible Verse:
“There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.” — Exodus 15:25
