Joshua Chosen as Moses’ Successor
God spoke to Moses and told him that his time as the leader of the Israelites was coming to an end. Knowing this, Moses called Joshua, the man chosen to take his place, and encouraged him with strong words of faith. He told Joshua, “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead the people into the land that God has promised them.”
Moses reassured Joshua and the Israelites that they were not alone in this journey. God Himself would go ahead of them, guiding and protecting them every step of the way. He reminded them of this powerful promise:
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:8
This verse is a reminder that no matter what challenges we face, God is always with us, leading and supporting us through every obstacle.
