Moses, the great leader of the Israelites, passed away at the age of 120 on Mount Nebo, a mountain that overlooks the Promised Land. Although he was able to see the land that God had promised to the Israelites, he was not allowed to enter it. According to the Bible, God Himself buried Moses in a location that remains unknown to this day.

The Bible describes Moses as a unique prophet who had a special and close relationship with God. Unlike other prophets, Moses spoke with God directly, as one would speak with a friend. This is emphasized in the following verse:

“Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.” — Deuteronomy 34:10

This verse highlights Moses’ unparalleled connection with God and the significant role he played in leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and guiding them through the wilderness.
