A Righteous Man
Job was a man of great wealth and strong moral character. Despite his riches, he remained humble and devoted to God. He was known for his deep reverence for God and his commitment to doing what was right. Job actively avoided wrongdoing and lived a life of integrity.
One of the ways Job demonstrated his faith was through his concern for his children. He wanted to ensure that they remained in God’s favor, so he regularly prayed for them and made offerings on their behalf. Every morning, he would rise early and offer burnt sacrifices for each of his children, believing that if they had unknowingly sinned, these offerings would atone for them. His actions reflected his unwavering faith and love for both God and his family.
Verse:
“Job would send and sanctify them, rising early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all.” (Job 1:5)
