Event Host Agreement
Effective 10 October 2026 · Terms for members publishing and selling tickets for events hosted on Gosful.
1. Who is responsible for an event
The member who publishes an event is its primary Host. You confirm you have authority to organize the event and that the date, venue, performers, capacity, prices and advertised experience are accurate. You are responsible for lawful permissions, venue arrangements, safety, accessibility, guest communications, event delivery and compliance with applicable Nigerian law. Co-hosts must accept an invitation; their participation does not transfer the primary Host’s contractual obligations.
2. Gosful’s role
Gosful supplies discovery, registration, communication, checkout and ticketing tools. Unless we explicitly identify ourselves as a host, we do not organize, endorse, guarantee or supervise your event. A connected bank account or published listing is not an endorsement or certification of your identity.
3. Paid tickets and host eligibility
Paid ticketing may require verified contact and payout details and additional fraud checks. You consent to payment-provider verification and to reasonable limits on sales, event publication or payment access when risks arise. Paystack processes payments and settlements in accordance with its terms. Gosful is not an escrow service, does not guarantee settlement timing, and cannot promise to block a provider payout after it is released.
4. Fees and settlement
The Gosful platform percentage and payment-processing fee arrangements must be shown before paid ticketing is enabled. For split transactions, the Host ordinarily bears the payment-processing charge where supported by the provider. Changes to fees apply prospectively, with appropriate notice. Any amounts displayed as earnings or pending settlement are estimates until confirmed by Paystack.
5. Cancellation, refunds and buyer rights
You must promptly tell buyers and Gosful if your event is cancelled, rescheduled, materially changed or cannot be delivered. You are responsible for lawful refunds arising from the event, including eligible full refunds for host cancellation, non-delivery, confirmed fraud and materially misleading advertising. You must acknowledge ordinary buyer refund requests within two business days and provide supporting information promptly. Formal payment disputes require urgent attention and are not subject to the ordinary response period.
6. Repayment, chargebacks and recovery
To the extent lawfully attributable to your event or breach, you agree to reimburse Gosful for buyer refunds, payment-provider processing charges that are not returned, chargebacks and reasonable documented recovery costs, after receiving a statement of the claimed amount and an opportunity to dispute mistakes. We may seek a lawful offset from amounts payable to you only when contractually and technically authorized by our payment provider. Gosful cannot debit your bank account without a valid authorization. Recovery obligations do not excuse Gosful from its own legal responsibilities.
7. Misconduct and enforcement
Do not misrepresent a venue, invent an event, sell admissions you cannot fulfil, impersonate anyone or use attendee data for unauthorized marketing. We may suspend paid sales, restrict accounts, preserve evidence and refer suspected unlawful conduct to payment providers or appropriate authorities. Payment disputes or refunds may remain due after suspension or account closure.
8. Guest privacy
Use guest contact and registration answers only to administer the event. Protect that information, limit access to necessary accepted co-hosts, do not sell it and comply with applicable Nigerian privacy law. Guests’ contact details must not be shared automatically merely because they purchased a ticket.
9. Legal limits and contact
Each party is responsible for its own wrongdoing. Gosful excludes liabilities for independent hosts only to the extent permitted by law; statutory obligations and consumer rights are not waived. These terms are governed by Nigerian law. Submit contractual questions or disputes through the Gosful Support page.
